They just keep going!
Now my home computer crashed! So I had a service guy come and try to fix it. The guy was a total newbie who was totally disorganized, to start he came over last night, I call in the morning for a service guy and he was suppose to be over within an hour! Well 4 hours later he came over, then he tells me he doesn't have his recovery software with him and he will come back in the morning, so we set up a time for 7am to come over....
Well 7am came and went, he finally called at 8:30 that he will be right here......9am he arrives and starts on the computer using free downloaded software to fix my computer? not working! then he tells me he has to go for his G licence drivers test and will be back right after that???
1 1/2hrs later he returns and tries to recover my downed system but keeps failing?? then he pull my computer apart and thinks it's my hard drive that is corrupted? I say Duh, ya! use your software to uncorrupted it and retrieve my missing files! again he tries his free downloaded software to make the fix? no go!
I finally say what if you use your free download software to reformat my hard drive and put windows seven back on?
Well he agrees but didn't back up my outlook beforehand? So this time it works! in other words my hard drive was fine and his retrieving free software sucks and now I lost all mine and Joanne's files we kept in outlook because it was reformatted and on top of that he couldn't get Joanne's outlook account to work!
So I tell him we have backup in my external drive, so he starts retrieving them and putting Joanne's files in my outlook account? I told him we need to get her and my files from the C drive which weren't backed up which are more important!!
So after he got all the outlook files from my external drive out and placed on my account, he still couldn't fix Joanne's account which I will have to do tomorrow with my service provider, but in the mean time he set up again a free downloaded recovery tool up and started a recovery of our files on the C drive that was re-formatted and said that is all he could do for me for now and I have to copy them over to my external drive when it done then move them into our outlook accounts after that and he has to go so he settles on a bill for me after spending around 6 hours fiddle farting with my computer not knowing what to do and losing our files and says how about I only charge you for 2 hours? I say how about you only charge me for a service call and one hour? So after all that it cost me $90.00 and my computer runs but we only have one outlook account and lost e-mail files and all our contacts which I have to retrieve!?!!
What a day!!
I finally went out to the beach for a quick swim of 666m ( appropriate for the day) and now having a quick dinner and some tv before going to bed and starting over tomorrow!
